01 · Why · Our story

Two paths, one shared drive: helping Madagascar grow

It all began in 2024, through a screen. From Antananarivo, Dina was working as virtual assistant to Matéos’s father in France. Files piled up, conversations became daily and, almost without noticing, working together turned into trust, then into something close to family. In 2025, Dina left the company: back in Madagascar, her own project was starting to come to life, and she chose to give it her all. Their paths parted, but the bond remained.

Some time later, Matéos and his father came to Madagascar. They finally met in person, and the country did the rest: the welcome, the warmth and the generosity of its people moved them deeply. Around a table, something became clear. Each of them carried the legacy of a father who built: in France, Matéos had taken over his father’s renovation business; in Madagascar, Dina was carrying forward the company her father founded in 2000 with her mother. Two stories echoing each other across the ocean.

Learning about Dina’s journey and her belief that education can change a country’s destiny, Matéos felt touched, challenged and inspired. Dina, for her part, was moved to see someone who had become like family want to build Madagascar’s future by her side. He is passionate about real estate and education, she about education and creating; and both share the same love of events, those moments when people meet and anything becomes possible.

In January 2026, they founded aina. together, to contribute to Madagascar’s social and economic development. In Malagasy, aina means life, breath. That is what their meeting gave them, and what they now want to pass on, one project at a time.
